Partnership Agreement
New York Conference — Mision Cristiana
Each partner agrees to appoint or elect a Task Force or Committee to communicate with the other partner about the partnership and implement the partnership recommendations.
When there is an exchange of visitors from one country to the other, the host partner will provide room, board and travel costs within the country. Travel costs between the countries will be paid by the New York Conference.
Our partnership is not limited to, but calls for us:
to be spiritual friends who share joys and struggles, who know one another's spiritual gifts, and who witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in ways that empower each denomination;
to share our faith with one another through prayer, sacrament and service so that we are united people being guided by the grace of God and not merely our own intentions;
to be attentive to one another's hopes, dreams and expectations so that each denomination is prepared to serve in a spirit of grace and truth;
to pray for one another's churches and country;
to have at least one program, seminar or workshop each year about the other country's history and culture;
to create spaces of 'convivencia' (community) that will help us to share and learne about the economic, social, political and cultural realities of the partner countries;
to exchange delegations at least once a year to attend meetings of the churches, such as annual meetings, women's groups, youth groups, etc., at which delegations will have voice but not vote privileges;
